Man assaulted, robbed in Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Police arrested two suspects they believe slammed a man to the ground and robbed him on Chenango Street.

Jervel Williams, 22, and Salladin Barton, 44, both of Binghamton, are charged with robbery.

Police responded to the area of 91 Chenango St. just before 11 p.m. Sunday. They found a 46-year-old man lying face-down in a parking lot. The man had a head injury. Police said Monday the man was in the intensive care unit at Wilson Hospital and listed in stable condition.

Witnesses told police the victim was slammed to the ground and robbed of loose change in his pockets.

Police located and arrested Williams and Barton in the area of Chenango and Court streets.
