Man dies after motorcycle crash

Terry Township, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Pennsylvania State Police say David Gardner, 64, of Clarks Summit, died after being taken to the hospital Sunday night.

Gardner was driving his motorcycle around 7:45 p.m., Sunday on North Street near Marshview Road in Terry Township when a deer came out onto the road and hit his motorcycle, according to a news release from state police in Towanda.

He lost control of the 2014 BMW motorcycle and laid it down on its left side. The motorcycle continued down the road for about 100 feet and stopped.

Gardner was flown by Lifeflight to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
