Town of Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man who was hit by a car Thursday was listed in critical condition, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office.

At 5:28 pm on December 5, the man was crossing Ellis Hollow Road near the East Hill Plaza Burger King. He was hit by a 2011 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on Ellis Hollow Road.

Paramedics took him to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse by ambulance. The weather prevented a helicopter transport.

Tompkins County deputies asked that anyone who witnessed the accident to call (607) 257-1345.

Cornell University Police, Bangs Ambulance, the Ithaca Fire Department, and New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
