Towanda, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A Bradford County man was sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the death of his wife.

Scott Kunkle, 30, was sentenced in Bradford County Court to serve one to five years in state prison, according to the District Attorney's office.

On June 9, he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the first degree, a misdemeanor.

Pennsylvania State Police were called to a domestic dispute at the Kunkle family home in July 2013.

Patricia Kunkle was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital.

An autopsy showed she died from blunt force trauma to the head and other internal injuries.

Daniel Barrett, the Bradford County District Attorney, said both Scott and Patricia Kunkle had been under the influence of bath salts.

Scott Kunkle was arrested and charged in August 2013. He posted $50,000 bail and was released.

As a part of his sentence, Kunkle will also have to pay a $2,500 fine.
