Man sentenced to 16 years for Newfield shooting

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Tompkins County man was sentenced to state prison for the April 2013 shooting of two men in Newfield.

On Wednesday, July 16, Donnell Harrison, 36, was sentenced in Tompkins County Court to 16 years in state prison and five years post-release supervisor.

In June, a Tompkins County jury convicted Harrison on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

In April 2013, Harrison went into the home of two male acquaintances in Newfield.

During the confrontation, he shot one man in the leg and the other in the face.

Harrison fled to New York City, where he was later tracked down by U.S. Marshals.
