Man flips car, seriously injured in crash

(WBNG Binghamton) A man is severely injured after hitting an embankment and a guide rail on Interstate 81 in Susquehanna County.

Pennsylvania State Police report that Jaelen T. Felton, 18, Dover, NJ, was traveling south on Interstate 81 just before 9 a.m. when he took a right curve and left the left side of the road near mile marker 228.

Police say Felton then swerved to the right crossing both lanes and struck an embankment and guide rail. He continued off the road, down a culvert, and flipped the car.

The car caught on fire.

Police say Felton was out of the vehicle.

He was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City.

Hallstead Volunteer Fire Company and Columbia Hose Company assisted at the scene.
