Man wanted for murder arrested in Johnson City

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Johnson City Police Department arrested Cornelius R. Wright, age 33, of Clarksdale, Mississippi for the following charges:

Criminal Impersonation in the second degree, a Misdemeanor
Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree, a Misdemeanor and a federal arrest warrant from Mississippi for Murder and Cocaine Distribution.

Wright was operating a motor vehicle on Floral Ave in Johnson City and was stopped by a patrol officer for a traffic violation. Wright gave a false name and was arrested.

His fingerprints were later taken and it was discovered that the US Marshals Office of the Northern District of Mississippi had a Federal arrest warrant for Wright for Murder and cocaine distribution.

Wright was taken to the Broome County Jail on the federal arrest warrant.
