Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Town of Dickinson Supervisor Michael Marinaccio says he will not be a Republican candidate for Broome County's Executive seat.

Marinaccio was recently re-elected to another four year term as Supervisor of the Town of Dickinson.

He says he is not running for executive because he wants to serve out his term.

He also says he has obligations to his family.

"Broome County is in an extremely poor financial status, created by budgets that did not deal in reality and were politically motivated," said Marinaccio. "It will take a good leader, working with the legislature and all the municipal leaders, to bring Broome County back into a positive mode."

Marinaccio ran for County Executive in 2008.

He is now serving his fifth term as Supervisor of the Town of Dickinson.

He says he is confident that his party will nominate another good candidate.
