Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A motorcycle ride by the Moose Riders of Binghamton covered more than 100 miles to raise money for nonprofit organizations.

They held their spring event to raise money for two charities: Mooseheart and Moosehaven

The organizations raise money to help children and elderly in need.

Riders begin at the Moose Club in Binghamton, ride through Owego and up to Ithaca, and then back to the Moose Club.

They say being able to enjoy their passion while raising money for charity is the best part of the event.

"It's a great thing to be able to do both and for good causes," said Jim O'Malley, president of the Binghamton Moose Riders. "And it's easy to get people to help you out. Everybody likes riding."

After the ride, the benefit continued at the Binghamton Moose Club with a steak dinner, raffles, 50/50 and a DJ.
