Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The murder trial for Maurice Bernard Anthony was put on hold just as jury selection was about to begin.

Broome County attorneys called approximately 100 potential jurors to hear the case against Anthony, but then announced a delay due to an unresolved issue between the prosecution and defense.

Anthony, of Brooklyn, is accused of killing 21-year-old Eric Dantzler, of Binghamton.

Dantzler was shot in December of 2010 on Corliss Avenue in Johnson City.

Anthony was not indicted or named as the suspect until last year when he was arrested in Stroudsburg, Pa., on an unrelated drug charge.

No new trial date has been set.
