Power outages in NYSEG’s Binghamton Division are spread across all or parts of Broome, Tioga, Cortland and Chenango counties.
The most severe damage is in Tioga and northern Broome counties.
Repair work has started in those areas.
NYSEG says the company is planning for a multi-day power restoration effort.
Some customers will have service restored sooner, others will be without service for days.
