National Weather Service prepares residents for 'next time'

(WBNG Binghamton) A new tool could help residents in the Binghamton area be better prepared if and when another flood strikes.

It's a mapping tool that can help residents understand where flooding could happen and the impacts it could have.

The National Weather Service will host a meeting at the Susquehanna Valley High School 7:00 p.m. Thursday to educate Broome County residents on how to use the mapping tool.

The meeting will also touch on some top flood preparedness tips and there will be time for a questions and answers.
