Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An Endicott woman is charged with stealing thousands of dollars from a local non-profit aimed toward helping kids.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Valerie M. Demkovich, 43, was an employee at the time she used a credit card belonging to the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club.
According to Action News archives, Demkovich is a former executive director of the organization.
Investigators said she made $10,828 in personal purchases during the past two years.
She was arraigned in Owego Village Court for grand larceny in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and released.
She's scheduled to return to village court next month.
