Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) With parties and celebrations going on all over the Twin Tiers to welcome a new year, hundreds of masked party-goers will be spending their night at the Roberson Museum.

Tickets sold out in the first three weeks for the third annual Masquerade in the Mansion.

About 400 guests will be ringing in the New Year at the historic Roberson Mansion.

All three floors will have entertainment until 2 a.m. The band Salsa Libre will be performing on the first floor, and the third floor ballroom will have a DJ.

"The location makes it a great atmosphere," said manager Jason Fuime, "And when you add a masquerade component to it you get a lot of people who are really really creative. You'll get people decked out head to toe with their masks, some people do Roman Empire type things."

The Roberson Museum is closed for Tuesday and Wednesday while staff focuses on its New Year's Eve celebration.

The Home for the Holidays exhibit will continue Thursday through Sunday.
