Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A new hotel is in the works for the Town of Dickinson.

Town Supervisor Michael Marinaccio announced plans for a 70 to 75 room hotel in his State of the Town Address Saturday night.

Marinaccio said the plan is to break ground in April. The hotel will be just down the road from the Prospect Terrace Fire Company station.

"It's going to be done very, very nicely," Marinaccio said. "It's already gone through the planning board and the next step is to go to the town board."

In addition to discussing the new hotel, Marinaccio also discussed the financial status of the town. He said the town's number one accomplishment is a zero percent increase in taxes.
