Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) You can add another restaurant to the list of downtown destinations in Binghamton.

The Zona Grill held its official ribbon cutting Thursday.

Binghamton Mayor Matthew Ryan joined co owners Mike and Tom DeAngelo in welcoming the restaurant to the downtown community.

They specialize in a blend of southwestern and Asian cuisine.

Zona Grill has technically been open since January, and they are jumping right into the restaurant scene.

They are one of 24 restaurants participating in the spring edition of Binghamton Restaurant week, which runs through March 21.

"This is our first time being in restaurant week. Things have been great so far. We are open for lunch and dinner. Both have been, we are just over whelmed. The support we have been getting is great," said Mike DeAngelo.

Zona's is located at the corner of Hawley and Washington streets.
