Norwich Man Charged With Attempted Murder

Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Norwich man is charged with attempted murder after shootout with police last month.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested Patrick Ford, 41, of Norwich II on Thursday after he was released from University Hospital in Syracuse. A warrant for his arrest was issued by County Court.

Ford had been in the hospital since August 30. He was shot by a Deputy after firing at Chenango County Deputies and a New York State Trooper in the Town of Pitcher.

Ford was arraigned in the Town of Pharsalia Court and sent to the Chenango County jail without bail.

The Chenango County District Attorney is reviewing the case. Further charges are pending.
