Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Southern Tier Home Builders & Remodelers Association hosts its annual home and garden show.
Preparations for the show began weeks before Friday's set up.
More than 160 businesses focused on remodeling and home improvements.
"You can get some great ideas even if you're looking in the near future to start a project or you're working on a project now. Take a look. pick their brains to see what they have to offer," President of the STHBRA Danielle Sepe-Yurka said.
The projects ranged from tile work, windows, new doors and siding, home decor and outdoor deck and patio work.
Setting up for the event is nothing short of hard work.
"It's a major production. We have three vehicles to bring things in and we've been working on it for about a week. It takes us about five hours to set up," said owner George Conner of Tall Pines Farm Stove and Fireplace.
Howard Quality Window says bringing color to a display will catch people's eye along with quality work.
"If you can look at what other people have put on displays, we that have done it for many many years and kind of have our own feel of what looks good and what doesn't. We can share our ideas with you and you can take off from there," President of Howard Quality Window Stan Howard said.
The Home and Garden Show gives business, many of which are apart of the home builders associate a chance to showcase their latest work.
The Home and Garden Show runs this weekend starting Saturday at 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets for the event cost $5.
The Southern Tier Home Builders and Remodelers Association was started in 1949. STHBRA is a not-for-profit, professional trade association working with the New York Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.
