Town of Triangle, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The race for New York's 52nd District Senate Seat is nearing an end and the democratic candidate, John Orzel was at the Triangle Town Hall Tuesday morning.

Orzel says that he is feeling very good after voting and that this election was a unique experience as is any other.

He went on to mention that he felt a strong connection with the people in the 52nd district and he finished off his campaigning last night talking with a crowd of mostly first time voters.

Orzel said, "I was at Binghamton University to speak to a sizable group of people who were registered on the campus. Today will be their first time voting and I'm able to honestly say, as I told them, in all these years that I've been voting it never changes. I may not always have my way but I have my say."

Orzel started off as a member of the Whitney Point Village Board of Trustees.

He then served three elected terms as Village of Whitney Point Mayor and twice to the Triangle Town council, most recently elected in 2008.
