Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A youth group comes together for a live show about the story of Christmas.

People crowded outside the Church of the Holy Family for a living nativity on Sunday evening.

The big production was put on by the Extreme Youth Group as they re-enacted the birth of Jesus. High schoolers to middle schoolers were involved in the show.

"We have wonderful people in the community who donate and help us out so much so we are grateful. We have a great pastor who allows us to do stuff like this and encourages the teens to get involved," said Bernadette Repetto, Youth Minister.

There were even real animals with a cow, goat and Gabriel, the donkey. The animals are borrowed for the night from many area farms.

This is the second live nativity the church has had.

"I think with all of the hustle and bustle of the season, this is a great way to witness to the community who we are and what we're all about," said Repetto.

Church of the Holy Family is on Phillips Street in Endwell.
