Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The village election will choose several positions including mayor.

Challenger Lisa Curatolo is running against incumbent mayor Kevin Millar.

"I'd like to see the downtown cleaned up, the village residents feeling safe, and I'd like us to all work together for the betterment of Owego," Curatolo said after casting her ballot.

Both say it's been a clean campaign, although in the final days, both were targeted by anonymous mailings attacking each other's candidacy.

"The tone of the campaign on both sides has been pretty good," said incumbent mayor Kevin Millar. "There hasn't been any bad vibes or behavior on behalf of either party."

Polls will remain open until 9 p.m.
