Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Watch where you park in the City of Binghamton and the Village of Endicott, Saturday marked the first day of alternate street parking.

The City of Binghamton is reminding drivers that on even calendar days to park on the even side of the street until 5 p.m. On odd days, park on the opposite side of the the street.

Alternate side parking helps snow plows remove snow from city streets.

These rules are in effect in the city until March 15th.

And The Village of Endicott also has parking rules to prepare for winter too.

Starting Sarturday morning, parking is no longer allowed on village streets between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

There are some streets that are exempt.

Exempt streets are marked with a green lettered sign saying that parking is allowed.
