Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University faculty, staff, and students gathered to honor Veterans who have served and are still serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The BU Harpur Chorale sang Patriotic songs as the ROTC Unit and New York State University Police conducted a flag raising.
Following the flag raising ceremony BU opened an exhibit filled with photos, stories, time line panels, and historic artifacts to honor the veterans.
BU will be hosting other events leading up to Veterans Days. Friday, November 9th volunteers will be filling backpacks with communication tools and support items for families of Veterans.
On Sunday, admission will be free to the men's BU basketball game for Veterans in uniform or with proper ID.
