Picking proper health care protection

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Affordable Care Act has many people and businesses wondering what their best options are and how to start the enrollment process.

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is available to assist people in making those decisions.

Through a state community service grant, the chamber was able to hire a navigator to assist in the NY State of Health.

That's the Official Health Plan Marketplace, where people can shop for, compare and enroll in health insurance coverage.

The chamber was interested in this grant money to help it's small businesses struggling to save money, but also have proper protection.

"The cheapest plan may not be the best plan for you. By coming in and visiting one on one with him, he can show you which plan is best suited for you," Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce President Lou Santoni said.

The best way to get help is to call and make an appointment.

Small businesses can call (607) 772-8863 extension 302.

Each appointment takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour.
