Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) 48 people will lose their jobs over the next month as a Vestal sheet metal fabrication plant is shutting down.
According to the New York State Department of Labor, a WARN notice has been issued for Solidus Industries, Inc.
The sheet metal fabrication plant is located at 448 Commerce Road in Vestal.
Layoffs are scheduled to start December 21, 2012 and run through January 25, 2013, when the plant will close.
The reason for closing is "economic."
