Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Police Department is warning residents of a scam. Two men are going door to door claiming to be representatives of an energy company.

The police department has received reports of residents being visited by two men going door to door claiming to be representatives of a company named Just Energy.

The males apparently used high pressure sales tactics attempting to get residents to quickly sign documents.

The Better Business Bureau has received complaints on Just Energy in the past.

The two men are described as being in their twenties; both had winter coats and knit hats with the words and logo of Just Energy on them, and carried laminated clip-on ID cards.

Any Binghamton residents having contact with individuals reporting to be representatives of Just Energy are asked to contact the Binghamton Police Department at (607) 723-5321.
