Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Vestal Police said Mary Herko-Daniels, 59, moved out of a home on Lincoln Drive in Vestal sometime in October, and left nearly 50 cats behind.

Many of the animals were described as malnourished and in need of medical attention when authorities found them.

The Broome County Humane Society took them in and will make them available for adoption once healthy.
