Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police arrested a man they said drunkenly hit another car before fleeing the scene.

Deputy Brendon Lawrence responded to Upper Front Street for a report of a car crash.

By the time he arrived, the suspected driver fled the scene.

The other driver chased after him.

Lawrence found the two cars on Everett Street in Binghamton.

The driver, Jesse Hill, 48, fled on foot and was found hiding in nearby bushes.

Police said Hill's license was suspended and revoked.

He also had 18 active suspensions, including one for aggravated DWI.

Police charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation in the 1st degree, a felony, using a vehicle without an interlock device, a misdemeanor, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and unsafe backing, a violation.

A judge arraigned him in Town of Chenango Court and crews took him to the Broome County jail without bail.
