Police find mobile meth lab

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ithaca Police found a meth lab inside a parked vehicle Wednesday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m., a concerned citizen alerted officers that a vehicle parked in the 500 block of South Plain Street was operating as a mobile meth lab.

According to police, they saw what appeared to be a meth lab inside of the vehicle and called the New York State CCERT Team to further investigate.

Ingredients and equipment that are commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine were located inside of the vehicle.

When asked why police are finding a greater number of meth labs, Ithaca Police stated that people are becoming more aware of how to make it.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
