Oneonta woman killed in crash

Town of Oneonta, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An Oneonta woman died in a two-car crash Tuesday morning.

New York State Police say it happened just after 7 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 23 in the town of Oneonta.

Terry Church, 62, of Oneonta, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Francis Gesel, 66, of Leominster, Mass., was traveling eastbound when he lost control going into a curve. His car went into the westbound lane, and crashed into Church.

Gesel was taken to AO Fox Hospital with a broken foot and chest pain.

Portions of Route 23 and County Route 11 were closed for several hours due to the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
