Police investigate shooting in Elmira

Elmira, NY (WBNG Binghamton) One person was shot and another injured in a disturbance reported by the Elmira Police department.

Police are investigating the shooting, which they said happened just before 10:00 Sunday night.

Officers were called to a home at the 900 block of Sullivan St. for a report of shots fired.

Police were also dispatched at the same time to the 100 block of Grand Central Avenue for a person who had been shot.

Police found the victim and took him to a local hospital with injuries that aren't believed to be life-threatening.

A SWAT team entered the home at 900 block of Sullivan St., where several people were interviewed and one was found injured.
