Police investigate shooting on Binghamton's west side

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police are searching for a Hispanic man in connection with a shooting that injured two people.

Binghamton Police responded to the area of North Street and Mather Street just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

According to witness reports, a group of males were seen fighting, then a vehicle pulled up and shots were fired.

Anthony Carter, 30, of Binghamton, walked into an emergency room later that evening with a gunshot wound to his leg.

A second victim, James High, 32, of Binghamton, also sought treatment for an injury to his elbow.

Police believe both injuries are related to the altercation.

Police are now looking for a light colored, hatchback-style sedan. The driver was described as a heavy set, Hispanic male with a pulled-back ponytail.
