Power outage in downtown Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 800 NYSEG customers were without power Thursday morning after an outage in downtown Binghamton.

It happened around 7:20 a.m. on Washington Street near Susquehanna Street. According to NYSEG crews on site, the outage was related to problems with high voltage cables.

The outage impacted Washington Street, Pine Street, Chenango Place, Exchange Street and others.

The Broome County Office Building was closed to the public due to the outage until 10:10 a.m.
