(WBNG Binghamton) Tuesday is the primary day in New York State.
There is Republican race for US Senate.
Attorney Wendy Long, Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos and Congressman Bob Turner are vying to run against Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand.
Republicans in our region will also pick a candidate to run for the new 22nd Congressional District.
Incumbent Richard Hanna faces a challenge by Michael Kicinski from Earlville, NY.
There is also a 19th Congressional District Democratic primary.
Voters will choose between former federal prosecutor Julian Schreibman and Dutchess County legislator Joel Tyner
The winner will run against incumbent Republican Chris Gibson.
Polls are open from 12 pm to 9 pm Tuesday for the federal primary.
