Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A SUNY Cortland professor pleads guilty to sex charges relating to a teenage girl.
39-year-old Daniel DePerno plead guilty to rape in the 2nd degree, rape in the 3rd degree and a criminal sex act in the 2nd degree.
He entered these pleas in Cortland County Court on Thursday.
State Police arrested DePerno back in April.
That's when he was charged with raping a girl several times since the age of 13.
DePerno was facing 31 counts related to the incidents.
He worked as an Assistant Professor of Sports Management at SUNY Cortland.
DePerno is being held in the Cortland County Jail on $100,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond.
He is scheduled to be sentenced September 30th at 10:30 AM in Cortland County Court.
