Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Racers in the 6th Annual Fireball Run stopped at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in the Town of Norwich.
43 racers are travelling from Independence,Ohio to Bangor, Maine raising money and awareness for missing children.
"People are not aware of how big an issue it is in America," said David Hickman of the Fireball Run. "It's 2,000 children a day, which is 800,000 people annually."
Racers carry posters for a missing child from their state, and hand them out throughout their run.
"I've been blessed to have two beautiful daughters, and I can't even begin to imagine what I would have gone through if they came up missing," said racer Bill Lee from Gallup, New Mexico.
"I'm a mom, my co-driver's a mom," said racer Tina Stull from San Antonio, Texas, "The thought of having your child missing is probably the most horrific torture you could put your parents through."
