Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Palm branches symbolize goodness and victory.

On Sunday, people throughout the Twin Tiers received palm branches to mark Palm Sunday.

Action News stopped by the evening service at St. Ambrose Parish in Endicott.

"Many people take these palms home and they braid them into crucifixes, which I don't know how to do, but many people can do it," chuckled Rosalie Grady.

Palm Sunday commemorates Christ for his entry into Jerusalem and recognizes his sacrificial death.

Worshipers said they look forward to returning next Sunday to celebrate Easter with loved ones.
