Sayre, Pa. (WBNG Binghamton) A Pennsylvania man is remembered for his work with rescue dogs at an afternoon ceremony.

A brick was laid in front of Sayre Theatre in honor of Hal Lambert Saturday.

Lambert was a supporter of greyhound dogs and rescued many of them during his years as an active member of the Keystone Greyhound Club.

He is the former owner of Lambert's Chocolates in Sayre and also worked in sales at Action News.

Lambert's wife and two daughters were among the 60 people who attended. They brought along their three greyhounds for the ceremony.

A parade of nearly 40 dogs marched in remembrance of Lambert, and the Sayre Elks Club presented the Keystone Greyhounds with a donation.

The Elks Club also gave out lunch at the event. Members served spiedies, hot dogs and of course, plenty of water for the dogs.
