Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Four names were added to the All Wars Memorial near the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena Saturday morning.

Brian D. Riely, Jr., a Binghamton High School graduate, George O. Beall, Jr., George W. Smith, and Wells Wentz were added to the already nearly 1,500 names being honored.

Three of the names date back to World War II and the Civil War.

"There are people who either were enlisted or drafted at a time of horrible conflict throughout our history. They were the youth- the young of our generation," says the Broome County Historian, Gerald Smith.

Smith says not only is this wall important to remember, but it's necessary to educate today's youth about past sacrifices.

They were people who had goals, dreams, and loved-ones that were never fulfilled.
