Robber strikes Xtra Mart in Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton police searched the area of Court Street and Mason Avenue Sunday night after a robbery at the nearby Xtra Mart.

Emergency communications reported the robbery at 409 Court St. around 8:30 p.m.

911 dispatchers described the suspect as a white male, 6 feet tall. They said he was wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a camo mask and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

They said the suspect was last seen on foot.

While Action News was on the scene, a woman told Binghamton police she believed someone had tried to get into her home.

Police interviewed the woman but weren't available for further comment with Action News at the time.

Binghamton police could also not confirm whether the suspect was armed during the robbery.
