Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Dozens of people rocked all day long to support a local non-profit that helps single parents go to school.

The Rocker-thon to benefit Mom's House was held Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Rocking chairs big and small filled the room for the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year.

Mom's House offers free daycare for children of low-income single parents who are enrolled in school.

One of the highlights of the event was playing musical chairs.

The largest donation came from people close to Mom's House.

"Our parents formed a team and they raised over $2,100 and they came in first place. So they're supporting the organization that's making it possible for them to go to school, which is a wonderful thing," said Diane Avery, an office manager at Mom's House.

Avery said the Rocker-thon will raise close to $6,000 for the organization.
