Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The summer construction project on State Route 201 continues this week, with the addition of new steel girders.
Starting at 6 Thursday evening, New York's Department of Transportation says the girders will be placed into position for the new bridge over Route 434.
The DOT says drivers will encounter alternate lane closures on the Vestal Parkway.
Traffic will also be stopped for a time.
Flag personnel will be on hand to direct traffic.
Work on this section is expected to wrap up by Friday around 6 AM.
DOT advises drivers to seek an alternate route during the 12 hour period.
