Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) SUNY Broome is looking to expand its partnerships beyond other colleges and universities, to countries.

More than a dozen presidents of technical colleges and universities from Colombia on Friday visited SUNY Broome's campus and discussed future partnerships.

Students from Colombia already attend SUNY Broome.

These other colleges are hoping for similar partnerships, so students can benefit from what the college and country has to offer.

SUNY Broome President Dr. Kevin Drumm says the college already works on English language skills.

"That's one of the reasons they may want to work with us, is the language skills and learning the English language so they can do business on the world stage," Drumm said.

If a partnership is agreed upon, students may be able to enroll as soon as next year's fall semester.
