SUNY student arrested for cocaine

Village of Delhi, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A SUNY Delhi student is facing a felony drug charge after a search warrant turns up cocaine.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Gregory J. Nielsen, 19, of Port Jefferson, was trying to sell cocaine.

On Monday night, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, the Delaware County Probation Department and village of Delhi police executed a search warrant in the Village of Delhi.

Nielsen was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell.

The sheriff's office said they found nearly eight ounces of cocaine.

Nielsen was sent to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bail bond.

- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Third Degree, class B Felony
