SWAT team finds drug evidence in Ithaca home

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After residents report drug trafficking in their neighborhood, Ithaca Police investigate and find evidence of drugs and drug trafficking.

On Friday at approximately 4:57 am the Ithaca Police Department
SWAT Team served a search warrant at 122 First Street..

An investigation into drug trafficking at that location was initiated by complaints from residents in the area, including information left on the IPD Tipline.

Theinvestigation culminated in the search warrant being served. Evidence of drug trafficking and drug use was recovered during the search.

Members of the IPD Criminal InvestigationsDivision, the IPD Special Investigations Unit, and the Tompkins County Sheriff's Department assisted in the investigation and search warrant service.
