Sandy Won't Spoil Halloween

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) We were somewhere around Binghamton when we realized we had no Halloween costumes.

This was a problem for me and my photographer, Justin Andrews.

Since Hurricane Sandy hadn't destroyed Binghamton as we had expected it to, it meant plans to celebrate Halloween were back on the table.

Justin and I found this weird costume place called Showtime on the side of the road. So, we decided to investigate.

It was full of strange beasts of all types; Gorillas, demons, and even Nixon.

While the place was full of goodies, the store lost a bit of business because of the hurricane.

"We were told to close. So we closed early yesterday at four o'clock," said Niki Striss, owner of Showtime Costumes.

I tried on many costumes; the Burger King guy, the Emporer, but none of them felt like me.

Justin was having more luck.

"Didn't really have anything in mind, just was going to get the first thing I saw," said photographer Justin Andrews.

We even found Big Bird.

It appeared that Mitt Romney hadn't gotten rid of him... At least not yet.

So remember, Sandy wasn't able to stop Halloween, and there's still time to pick up a costume before the 31st.

Happy Halloween.
