Search warrant leads to Binghamton heroin bust

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton man is facing felony charges after police find heroin on him and at his home.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force arrested Damien K. Ellison, 33, of Binghamton, Wednesday night following the execution of a narcotics search warrant.

Ellison was found walking on Rutherford Street in the city of Binghamton and was taken into custody.

Ellison was found to be in possession of 30 glassine envelopes each containing heroin.

Police then searched Ellison's home on Hawley Street in Binghamton where they found another 111 envelopes and $1,720.

Ellison will be charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.

Ellison is currently being held at the Binghamton Police Department waiting to be arraigned in the city of Binghamton Court.
