Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) They've made their list and checked it twice at Lourdes Hospital.

The hospital is delivering mountains of gifts as part of its in-house program for families in need.

Working with hospital social workers, staff members of each department bought gifts for local families.

Many of the gifts are even brought to the families by hospital social workers.

"It's kind of catching," said volunteer services coordinator Ann Lomonaco, "Each department gets excited about the family, and each department asks, ann ann, when are we getting our family's wish list."

Lizz Lynch, a staff member at Lourdes, is helping bring gifts to families in Tioga County.

"It's awesome," said Lynch, "It's like being Santa Claus. They're ecstatic, they're happy, they're overwhelmed."

Lourdes' Christmas Mission drive has been going on for more than 20 years.

They expect to help more than 140 families this year.
