Second Arrest In Town of Chenango Homicide Case

Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A second man is arrested in connection to the death of 27 year old Daniel Martinez.

Broome County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Daniel Doherty, 21 of Binghamton last night.

He's charged with murder in the second degree.

Deputies say he acted as an accomplice with Joseph Ross-Jones, 25, who was arrested Tuesday,

That arrest came just 56 hours after Martinez's body was found in a wooded area off of Wilson Hill Road in the Town of Chenango Sunday morning.

Doherty was arraigned in Town of Chenango court, and is now in the Broome County jail.

No bail has been set.
