Binghamton, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) Sesame Street Live came to The Broome County Forum Wednesday for three showings of "Elmo Makes Music."

The show starred children's favorite Sesame Street stars, such as Big Bird, Cookie Monster and, of course, Elmo.

It gave kids a chance to see their Sesame Street friends up close and personal and get involved in the show by singing and clapping along.

Family members also got to enjoy quality time with their little ones.

Jessica Scofield went with her sons, Elias and Samuel, and her mother, Jan Pierce and the foursome looked forward to the show for quite a while.

"I think [the boys are] going to love it," Scofield said. "I think seeing [the characters] in real life makes them come to life more for them, so when they watch the show, they can really relate to it and say, 'I was there and I saw them.'"

Pierce charishes events like this where she can spend time with her grandsons.

"It's just a really nice event to do with your children in the middle of winter, middle of the day, any time. Any time I can spend time with these kids, doing things like this is truly a blessing," she said.

The four of them went to Sesame Street Place last summer, and they couldn't wait to see their favorite characters again.

Action News This Morning's Haley Burton and Brian Shroeder welcomed the audience and introduced the stars.
